Grand Island Building Services Division Announces Expanded Hours of Operation

Grand Island, Neb. — To enhance customer service and improve accessibility for residents, contractors and developers, the City of Grand Island Building Services Division will be implementing updated business hours beginning Monday, May 18.

The new office hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and building inspections may be requested during the following times:

* Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
* Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

On Fridays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Building Services staff will remain available to assist customers with future inspection scheduling, administrative needs and general information. You can schedule inspections by calling (308) 385-5325 during regular business hours or online 24 hours a day through the CitizenServe customer portal at www.citizenserve.com/grandisland.

Requests for inspections outside of standard business hours must be submitted to the Chief Building Official for review and approval. The updated hours are designed to provide greater flexibility and improve service for customers navigating building permits, inspections and related development services.
