Tree of Love Ornaments Available; Proceeds Support Hospital Foundations

Honor a special loved one this holiday season with a personalized Christmas ornament for CHI Health’s annual Tree of Love. Sponsored by the Foundations at CHI Health Good Samaritan and CHI Health St. Francis, the tradition is a meaningful way to remember those who have touched our lives while supporting the hospital’s healing mission.

The deadline to order 2026 Tree of Love ornaments is Monday, Nov. 23. Ornaments can honor or remember loved ones, or celebrate milestones including first Christmases, new babies, and special anniversaries. Each engraved acrylic ornament costs $20.

The community is invited to a blessing ceremony for the ornaments at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, in the West Tower Lobby at Good Samaritan and the main lobby at St. Francis. The trees will remain on display through the Christmas season.

At Good Samaritan in Kearney, families are encouraged to hang their ornaments during the blessing ceremony and collect them at the end of the season. Any ornaments that remain will be blessed and rehung each year.

To sponsor an ornament at Good Samaritan, visit https://give.commonspirit.org/chigoodsamaritan/TOL or call (308) 865-2700. Proceeds support the Ambulance Replacement Project to upgrade aging EMS vehicles used for 911 calls, long-distance transports and event standby.

“Christmas offers us a chance to reflect, appreciate our blessings, and commemorate those who have impacted our lives,” said Cindi Richter, director, Good Samaritan Foundation.

At St. Francis in Grand Island, families may take home ornaments following the blessing ceremony. Any ornaments that remain will be blessed and rehung each year.

To sponsor an ornament at St. Francis, visit https://give.commonspirit.org/chistfrancis/tree-of-love or call (308) 398-5400. St. Francis proceeds support Project Care, helping patients with medical needs such as medications, lodging and meals.

“Your contributions are instrumental in improving the health of the people we serve,” said Melissa Griffith, director, St. Francis Foundation.
